******* NEW - On-line Donation Facility - NEW *******
Could you spare just £2.30 a week to help? Doesn't seem like a lot does it - one drink in a pub perhaps?
This small weekly amount equates to a £10 per month donation which would make a real, much needed difference to Church funds.
It's so easy to set up a regular donation or to make a one-off donation in just a few quick steps using the On-line Donation Facility.
If you are a UK tax payer, please do tick the Gift Aid box (labelled "I am a UK tax payer") so that we can claim the tax back on your donation from the Chancellor!!
The links below will open in a new window and will take you to the CharityGiving website - who help us with our donations process.
From there you can donate using the on-line facility.
Make a general donation to the combined Churches fund:
|
Please note: this will be a general donation that will be used for both St. Mary's Church and St. Denys' Church. The link will open the new St. Mary's & St. Denys' "Minisite" at CharityGiving. |

Make a donation specifically for St. Mary's Church, Kempsey: |
Please note: this will be a specific donation solely for St. Mary's Church. The link will open the St. Mary's Church donation page at CharityGiving. |

Make a donation specifically for St. Denys' Church, Severn Stoke: |
Please note: this will be a specific donation solely for St. Denys' Church. The link will open the St. Denys' Church donation page at CharityGiving. |
Any donation, no matter what the size, is helpful to your Church in continuing its work so please do consider giving an amount to help.
Regular donations are the most efficient mechanism and will help to provide an on-going income.
Please note: the donation mechanism does not need your bank account details, only the details of a debit or credit card that you would like the amount debited from - so just like buying an item via an on-line shop. For regular donations it will take the regular donation date as the date the first debit occurs - i.e. when it makes the first debit to the card in question, which may be a few days after you do the initial donation set-up. One-off donations should be debited there and then.
Your Church needs YOU!
It is a fact of life that the Church needs money to function and survive. The Church receives no Government funding so this money has to come from donations from parishioners and the public.
St. Mary's and St. Denys share a common, constant struggle to find enough money to survive, let alone to do all the things that ideally they would be able to. This was re-iterated very graphically by the Vicar, Peter Holzapfel, in one of his Sermons:
Sermon - 09/03/2008 - Church Finances - Giving to help ensure the Church's future (PDF)
There has never been a greater need for parishoners to donate. If we don't, then there is a real risk we could lose one or more of the Churches.

Donating without using the On-line Donation Facility
One obvious form of off-line donation is the money left on the collection plate during a service. However, donations can take other forms such as regular giving via Direct Debits (very easy to set up), one-off sums or legacies as part of a will. In addition, there is the possibility for the Church to claim back the tax component of the donation, via the Gift Aid scheme, to increase the effective value of the donation at no additional cost to the Donator.
Regular donations via Direct Debit are probably the most efficient mechanism.
If you would like to make either a one-off or a regular donation without using the On-line Donation Facility, please contact the Treasurer, David Hassell, for details (see the Contacts page).
