Coming Together Meeting Coming Together meet on the 2nd Monday of the every month at St. Mary's House, Squires Close from 10:30am to 1:00pm. This is an ecumenical meeting and we enjoy a chat and a coffee at 10:30 going on at 11:00 with a time of worship and bible study with a different speaker each month. Around 12:00 we share in a snack lunch and finish about 1:00. Please feel free to come and join us, we are a very friendly bunch of people. Christian Aid week starts Once again Kempsey volunteers for Christian Aid will be out collecting the red envelopes which will come through your letter box. Please be as generous as you are able, it is a difficult economic time but a little goes a long way so please donate as much as you can. Kempsey raised over £2,000 last year and it would be great if we could achieve this again or even more. If there is anyone who would like to be a volunteer for this one week of the year to put out and collect the envelopes please contact Julia Grant on 820138 it will be very much appreciated, thank you. |

Red Cross Appeal Week - Be a Red Cross Champion!
As you will be aware, the Red Cross has been actively involved with offering humanitarian assistance in Haiti following the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. On a local level, during January’s arctic weather, the Red Cross were able to provide transport to those that needed it using their trained team of volunteers and 4x4s. We urgently need funds to deliver these vital services to those who need us most and you can help make a difference during Red Cross Appeal Week. We are looking for people to coordinate the 33 supermarket collections arranged in Worcestershire by asking their friends, partners and any other budding volunteers. We will provide everything you need; all we need from you is your time. “With a little help from you”, 2 hours of collecting on average could raise £40 which could train 4 people in life-saving first aid skills but if everyone were to ask one other person they know, this could raise £400 which could provide temporary shelter for eight families in Haiti. Please contact Louise Watkins on 01905 450431 or LWatkins@redcross.org.uk to sign up to a collection or if you would like to help out in any other way such as organising a coffee morning. The British Red Cross helps vulnerable people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. As a neutral and impartial humanitarian organisation, we welcome people of all faiths, and of none. This is an ecumenical meeting and we enjoy a chat and a coffee at 10:30 going on at 11:00 with a time of worship and bible study with a different speaker each month.
