The Flower Guild

The floral decorations are a big part of Church life, with displays being changed regularly for weekend services and religious festivals. St. Mary's has a team of regular helpers, currently led by Fiona Harrison, who arrange the flower displays.

Our team provides this on a self financing basis - with the benefit that this avoids the Church having to find finance to pay for flowers out of its limited funds. Thus, the more you use our team, the more we can put back into the Church to keep it looking attractive, colourful and welcoming.

We have recently started a new service of doing a flower arrangement in the memory of a loved one, or for a special birthday or anniversary, or even to celebrate a new baby.

Wedding Flowers - our arrangers are familiar with the Church so they know what looks the most effective and we are here to help you with the flowers on your special day. We meet with you to discuss what sort of flower arrangements you would like and the cost - you can either provide us with the flowers to arrange or we can buy them for you saving you precious time.

If you are thinking about using the service, please do have a read through the Flower Guild Testimonials to see people's feedback.

If you would like further details of what the team can do, or to book a flower arrangement in memory of a loved one, please contact the Flower Guild Team via the Contacts page.

Special Church Festivals - Easter, Harvest, Remembrance Sunday and Christmas, displays are planned and designed - new ideas are always welcome. If anyone would like to help in any way please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Flower Guild via the Contacts page.
