A big THANKYOU to Ray, Jean & Joanne (Kempsey Post Office)

On behalf of all of us I would like to take this opportunity of saying a GREAT BIG THANYOU to Ray, Jean and Joanne who have run our local Post Office in Kempsey for so many many years and for all the loving service and friendship that they have offered to everyone who has used the Post Office over that time.

It has been a real pleasure to have known them and counted them as friends and neighbours and such an integral part of our village life. For thousands of people over the years it has been far more than just a shop but somewhere where you could be guaranteed to meet someone you knew and share stories and jokes. Ray and Jean have always had time for people and knew us all as individuals and this makes a profound difference in an increasingly impersonal world because you always knew they really cared. The sad thing, of course, is that we're losing our Post Office and a much needed community resource but the good news is that we're not losing Ray, Jean and Joanne who will continue to live in the village.

May God Bless them in their retirement and give them health and happiness in the future as we thank them for A FIRST CLASS JOB that has been done for us all and for the great benefit of this village and community.

THIS COMES AS A SPECIAL DELIVERY & WITH MUCH LOVE AND THANKS.

Easter Gift - A huge THANKYOU from Peter

I want to take this opportunity of saying THANKYOU to all of you for the wonderful Easter gift I received following the collection that you had for me leading up to Easter. The card and the substantial gift of money are very gratefully received and will certainly help with providing a holiday this year.

But it isn't just the gift but what it represents that really matters and to know that I am appreciated and loved by you is so treasured and such an encouragement to me in my work here. I don't always get things right but I do my best to make sure that everyone feels loved and valued and is reminded of God's love for them throughout the parishes and I can honestly tell you that I am as happy here now as when I began almost eight years ago. THANKYOU all of you.

A big THANKYOU to Julia Grant

Since I began here I've been very privileged to have some great Church Wardens and Julia certainly ranks among them. At the recent Annual General Meeting Julia stepped down as Church Warden after years of committed and loving service to God and our church family here. Julia is a tireless worker in God’s harvest field and it is a joy to count her as a Christian sister and friend. Julia, on behalf of all of us, THANKYOU for all that you’ve done and I know will continue to do for God and His kingdom.

Congratulations also to you and John on becoming Grand-parents! THANKYOU also to David Hassell for supporting Julia so well over the past year and to our deputy Church Wardens, John Lomax, John Roe and Arthur Kelly. Each and every one of you give so much to this church fellowship and thankyou is really too small a word to express our gratitude for all you do. We have two new Church Wardens elected this year who are Alan Plowman and Libby James who I know will do a fantastic job and every blessing on them in their new roles within the Church.

A big THANKYOU to Bryan Hadley

Also I would like to say THANKYOU to Bryan Hadley for all that he has done and continues to do as Church Warden of St Denys' Church. Bryan has carried on fantastically following the retirement of Jim Spence which has meant that he is the sole Church Warden at St Denys' with a great deal of hard work falling on his shoulders. Bryan's great love for God and for His church is so evident and he works tirelessly for the good of us all. It is a joy and a privilege to count him as a friend and he is such an encouragement for me personally.

THANKYOU Bryan for all the love and commitment you show to us all and for all that you do for God and His kingdom. Bryan is going to be assisted this year by Gail Brookes who has offered to serve as assistant Church Warden and as she so wonderfully put it "to be his legs!" Thankyou Gail for stepping into the breach.
